On October 20, 2026, Indian wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson took his fandom for superstar Rajinikanth to a new level by booking an entire cinema hall to watch the blockbuster film ‘Jailer 2’. Samson organized a private screening of the action-comedy, which was attended by his wife, close friends, and a select group of members from the Indian cricket team and its support staff.
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures, ‘Jailer 2’ was released in theaters on October 15. Despite being a huge admirer of the legendary actor, Sanju Samson had missed the ‘first show’ of the film due to his demanding cricket schedule. As soon as he found some free time—following his participation in the T20I series against the West Indies and an official event in Delhi—he wasted no time in catching the movie.
According to NDTV Sports, Samson remarked, “I love watching Rajini Sir’s films, and I always eagerly await his next release. I’m actually a day late, though! I try to watch as many of his films as I can. We had an event in Delhi yesterday, which is why I couldn’t watch it then.”

Sanju Samson added, “But today, fortunately, I managed to book the entire theater. I’ve invited my friends, and my wife is here as well. I’m really excited to see Rajini Sir on the big screen.”
