One of the most prestigious playing records in Indian cricket is held by Yuvraj Singh. In addition to playing in 304 ODIs, 40 Tests, and 58 T20Is, he was a key player in India’s triumphs at the 2007 ICC T20 World Cup and the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup.
Over the course of his 132-match IPL career, he amassed 2,750 runs and claimed 36 wickets, making him one of the format’s most influential players across several teams.
Yuvraj Singh has a close relationship with this franchise as well. He played in all 14 of the 2015 IPL season for the Delhi Daredevils, the team that is currently known as the Delhi Capitals. The franchise won his services at that auction for Rs 16 crore, which at the time set a new record for the most expensive purchase in IPL auction history.
Yuvraj is now at the center of the team’s batting development program ahead of IPL 2027 after being appointed Assistant and Batting Coach. He will work in a coaching structure led by Sourav Ganguly, which unites two of India’s most renowned cricket players from the 2000s in a single dugout.

Yuvraj has never held an official coaching position in the Indian Premier League. The team’s batting group is anticipated to gain from his experience in all three formats and his track record of winning games under duress as they get ready for the next campaign.
Yuvraj added that he is looking forward to working with Sourav Ganguly and conveyed his excitement at the idea of starting a new chapter in his life.Starting a new chapter in my life with the Delhi Capitals excites me. This is a unique chance for me because I have a long history with the franchise and am familiar with the owners. Additionally, I’m excited to work with Dada as a coach this time. I have a genuine passion for coaching, and I am eager to begin working with this incredibly gifted team. I’m confident that the journey will be thrilling for me, and I’m excited to help the team succeed,” Yuvraj remarked.
