After three consecutive ducks during Bangladesh’s previous tour of Australia, the knock was his seventh Test century and a return to form. In response to Bangladesh’s first-innings score of 346, Litton Das had earlier in the game completed four catches and one stumping in Afghanistan’s first innings, totaling 240.
Litton Das and Mehidy Hasan Miraz shared 149 runs for the seventh wicket. With 52 off 92 balls, Mehidy Hasan Miraz achieved his 11th Test half-century while remaining undefeated. Afghanistan must score 479 runs to win the match after Bangladesh ended their second innings at 372 for 7.
“Behind the wickets, I can understand a lot of things and get an idea about the pitch, so it [wicketkeeping] definitely helps.” Das was quoted as saying, “That really helps me with my batting. “It is not a very spin-friendly wicket. However, by day five, the rough spots can occasionally cause the balls to turn a lot. He continued, “I hope that our spinners are already bowling in good areas. By bowling in even better areas, they will create pressure, and the job will be easier for them if they get a little help from the wicket.”
Day 4 stumps saw Afghanistan start their second innings at 132 for 3. In the first over, Hasan Mahmud dismissed Shahidullah for 19 and Ebadot Hossain dismissed Abdul Malik for 2. Before Das caught him behind, Rahmat Shah scored 51 off 124 balls with five fours and one six. Hashmatullah Shahidi was 19 not out off 27 balls and Sediqullah Atal remained undefeated on 35 off 126 balls, sharing an 82-run partnership. As the game neared its conclusion, Afghanistan needed 347 more runs to reach Bangladesh’s target.

“I’m happy with how I’m going, but I hope to carry on tomorrow as well because we’re just trying to figure out how to draw this game and keep batting until the final session. We’re just trying to do the fundamentals correctly, like we nearly did today, so this is our primary focus,” Atal stated.
“If you look, Rahmat is in such excellent form and he can tell you everything about every bowler and the situation.” When you are batting with Shah Ji, you will be at ease with him. I’m really fortunate to have the opportunity to bat with him every time,” he continued.
