Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been added to the Indian squad for the fifth and final T20I
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed this decision via an official media advisory on Friday, October 16. The move comes following concerns regarding a potential injury to left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar has recently returned to the Indian side after a four-year hiatus. He has also been selected for the upcoming T20I series against New Zealand, which begins on October 22. Prior to this, his last appearance for India was against New Zealand in November 2022. Known for his swing bowling, the pacer earned his comeback by delivering an impressive performance for RCB in the 2026 IPL, where he claimed 28 wickets at an excellent economy rate of 7.95.
